Turbocharged lean-burn gas and gasoline engines
R Schmitt Enertec Gasmotoren
The gas engines of the M series from R Schmitt Enertec form the basis for a range of ENERGIN® power generators.
They are the driving unit for ENERGIN® GEN power generators, ENERGIN® GEN+ power generators with heat recovery from the engine cooling water, and ENERGIN® CHP combined heat and power plants. The engines were developed by R Schmitt Enertec and manufactured at the plant in Mendig, Germany.
The main features are:
■ 6-, 8- and 12-cylinder V-engines
■ 11.3/15.1/22.6 dm³ displacement
■ Turbocharged lean-burn engines
■ 7.4 – 18.5 bar effective mean pressure at rated power
■ Possible fuels: natural gas (LNG), biogas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), wood gas or other synthetic gas
The engines of the M series are available in the following configurations:
GEN:
Power generator with external cooler
GEN+:
Power generator with heat recovery from the engine cooling water
CHP:
Combined heat and power plants (CHP) with heat recovery from exhaust gas, lubricating oil, cooling water, and optionally from the mixture cooling circuit
